Hailing from Basilicata, this wine offers an authentic taste of the local terroir. At 11.5% alcohol, it stays light on its feet without sacrificing character. Crafted from Malvasia di Rapolla 60%, Cinguli 20%, Santa Sofia 20%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate is fresh and precise, with lively acidity carrying through to the finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on vulcanic soils. Grown organically. Vinification: spontaneous fermentation in chestnut barrels, 18 days of maceration with pressing, racking and light pressings. Adding a minimum of sulphites. Unfiltered and no fining. The wine is aged 2 months in French tonneaux. A wine showing the structured intensity typical of Basilicata's Aglianico-based reds.
Basilicata remains one of Italy's smaller, lesser-known but highly distinctive wine regions.
