Tasting Notes

This Barbaresco DOCG stands as a benchmark for Piedmont's highest quality classification. Its 14% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Nebbiolo 100% , this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards vines at 300 m s.l.m. facing south-west in the lower part of the Rabaja cru, on calcareous-clay soils called “Marne di Sant’Agata”. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration in wooden vats for 40 days with traditional hat splinting, no filtration and clarification. The wine is aged 20 months in Slavonian oak barrels, 18 months in the bottle. A wine combining Piedmont's trademark power with finesse and complexity.
