Hailing from Lombardy, this wine offers an authentic taste of the local terroir. Its 42% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Syrah 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The fruit is sourced from vineyards vines bred on soils of "galestro" marl and clayey shales, marls and fine sandstones with quartz and limestone. Vinification: the grapes are de-stemmed and subjected to an extremely soft crushing and carry out the alcoholic fermentation thanks to indigenous yeasts in steel tanks at controlled temperature with frequent pumpovers and maceration of the skins for about 10 days. The wine is aged 12 months in vitrified cement barrels on the fine lees. A wine true to the meticulous Lombard approach to winemaking.
Lombardy is best known for Franciacorta, Italy's finest sparkling wine appellation, alongside the alpine reds of Valtellina.
