A fine example of Marche winemaking, this Rosso Conero DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 13% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Montepulciano 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in Basso Sulcis on clayey, limestone and sandy soils. Vinification: the grapes are de-stemmed and crushed and undergo an alcoholic fermentation with maceration of the skins for about 5 days, then the must undergoes malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged a few months in stainless steel containers. A wine showing the freshness typical of Marche's coastal vineyards.
The region is best known for Verdicchio, one of Italy's most versatile white grapes.
