Among the most celebrated expressions of its category, this Valtellina Superiore DOCG showcases exceptional craftsmanship. At 14% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) 95%, Rossola, Pignola and Brugnola 5%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards cultivated according to the Guyot system between 400 and 600 metres above sea level in Sassella and Valgella area. Vinification: drying of the 30% of the grapes for about 25-30 days, destemming, maceration on the skins for 10-12 days and fermentation with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks. The wine is aged 18 months in medium oak barrels and 6 in steel tanks. A wine true to the meticulous Lombard approach to winemaking.
