This exceptional Montefalco DOC showcases the authentic character of Umbria. At 13.5% alcohol, it presents a well-balanced and harmonious profile. Crafted from Sangiovese 60%, Merlot 15%, Sagrantino 15%, Montepulciano 10%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in a hilly clayey soil, faced to South-East and South-West. Vinification: fermentation with indigenous yeasts and with a maceration prolonged maceration on the skins for 10 days after fermentation. Then soft pressing. Without filtrations and with minimum added sulphites. The wine is aged at least 18 months in big Slavonian oak barrels that are 5-70 years old. A wine reflecting Umbria's hillside terroir at the heart of Italy.
