A fine example of Umbria winemaking, this Orvieto DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 13.5% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Grechetto 55%, Chardonnay 20%, Vermentino 20%, Procanico 5%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate is fresh and precise, with lively acidity carrying through to the finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards at 300 meters above sea level on pliocene soils rich in sand, clay and marine fossils. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks (5% in barrique) with control temperature for 15 days. Malolactic fermentation complete. The wine is aged 6 months in stainless tanks and 6 months in bottle. A wine reflecting Umbria's hillside terroir at the heart of Italy.
Umbria is home to Sagrantino di Montefalco, one of Italy's most tannic and age-worthy reds.
