Crafted from Sagrantino 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards from Chiusa di Pannone vineyard (2.70 hectares) populated by vines planted in 1995 on clay-limestone soils of Pleistocene origin at 400 meters above sea level. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature with maceration on the skins for 3-4 weeks and malolactic fermentation in wood. The wine is aged 48 months in tonneau and oak wood barrels, 6 months in cement tanks. A wine reflecting Umbria's hillside terroir at the heart of Italy.
