A fine example of Basilicata winemaking, this Aglianico del Vulture DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 14% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Aglianico 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards sites on volcanic soils in the Title district, in the municipality of Barile. Vinification: destemming, soft pressing, alcoholic fermentation in amphora of Impruneta with maceration of 13 days with continuous delestages and pumping over. The wine is aged 18 months in 7 hectolitre terracotta amphorae. A wine showing the structured intensity typical of Basilicata's Aglianico-based reds.
Basilicata's volcanic Mount Vulture soils give its wines a distinctive mineral backbone.
