This Franciacorta DOCG stands as a benchmark for Lombardy's highest quality classification. With 12.5% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Chardonnay 50%, Pinot Noir 50%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Its lively perlage and crisp finish make it an ideal celebratory pour. The fruit is sourced from vineyards at 275 metres above sea level. Vinification: soft pressing, dofferent fermentation for grape type (in barrique for the Chardonnay, in steel vats for the Pinot Nero) with ageing for 8 months, blending and second fermentation in bottle according to the Traditional Method. The wine is aged more than 80 months on the lees. A wine reflecting the alpine influence found across Lombardy's varied terroir.
Lombardy is best known for Franciacorta, Italy's finest sparkling wine appellation, alongside the alpine reds of Valtellina.
