This distinctive wine from Lombardy embodies traditional Italian winemaking heritage. Its 13% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon 50%, Merlot 25%, Cabernet Franc 25%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards vines at least 25 years in Erbusco, Cassago San Martino and Passirano. Vinification: fermentation and maceration for 22 days. The wine is aged at least 17 months in small oak barrels, new 70%, then more than 3 years in bottle. A wine reflecting the alpine influence found across Lombardy's varied terroir.
Lombardy is best known for Franciacorta, Italy's finest sparkling wine appellation, alongside the alpine reds of Valtellina.
