This Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC captures the distinctive personality of Friuli Venezia Giulia terroir. With 15% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Merlot 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 25 years-old vines of Buttrio vineyard with south exposure. Vinification: fermentation in steel vats for 10 days and maceration on the skins for 14 days. The wine is aged 18 months in amphorae, first and second passage barrique and another 8 months in steel. A wine showing the influence of the region's cool alpine breezes.
