Hailing from Friuli Venezia Giulia, this wine offers an authentic taste of the local terroir. Its 14% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Merlot 70%, Cabernet Sauvignon 30%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in a calcareous soil faced to east and sud-east from Premariacco, Cividale and Prepotto hills. Vinification: the fermentation takes place in the presence of the skins in oak vats for 40 days without temperature control and without the addition of selected yeasts. The wine is aged 36 months in big oak barrels of 20 and 30 Hl, then at least 1 years in bottle. A wine showing the influence of the region's cool alpine breezes.
