This Primitivo di Manduria DOC captures the distinctive personality of Puglia terroir. Its 15% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Primitivo 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in the heart of the Manduria in Salento from 40-year-old vines with the traditional Pugliese alberello method on clayey-silty soil. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in steel, re-fermentation in the bottle according to the Classical Method. The wine is aged 6 months in big wood barrels and 3 months in bottle. A wine showing the sun-drenched warmth typical of Puglia's Mediterranean climate.
Puglia, Italy's sun-drenched heel, produces generous, full-bodied wines from ancient vines.
