This distinctive wine from Puglia embodies traditional Italian winemaking heritage. Its 16% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Primitivo 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 60 years old sapling vines rooted in a red soil. Yield: 20 q/ha. Vinification: destemming, soft pressing, maceration on the skins for 3 or 4 weeks, fermentation in steel vats with 2 daily delestage and malolactic fermentation in barrique. Whitout filtrations. The wine is aged 9 months in small oak barrels, new for the 50%, and at least 9 months in bottle. A wine showing the sun-drenched warmth typical of Puglia's Mediterranean climate.
The region's Mediterranean climate favours bold reds from Primitivo and Negroamaro.
