Hailing from Puglia, this wine offers an authentic taste of the local terroir. With 16% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Primitivo 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 90 years old sapling vines in red soils from Manduria. Slightly late harvest. Vinification: destemming, soft pressing, maceration on the skins for 3 or 4 weeks, fermentation in steel vats with 2 daily delestage and malolactic fermentation in barrique. Whitout filtrations. The wine is aged 12 months in small oak barrels, new for the 50%, and at least 18 months. A wine capturing the rustic charm of Puglia's ancient vineyards.
Puglia, Italy's sun-drenched heel, produces generous, full-bodied wines from ancient vines.
