A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Etna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. At 13.5% alcohol, it presents a well-balanced and harmonious profile. Crafted from Carricante 90%, Catarratto 10%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate is fresh and precise, with lively acidity carrying through to the finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards rooted in a volcanic sandy soil in the North slope of Etna between 750 and 850 m above sea level. Vinification: cold maceration, soft pressing and alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks for 20 days. The wine is aged 6 months on the lees and 12 months in bottle. A wine reflecting the mineral intensity of Sicily's volcanic soils.
Sicily, the Mediterranean's largest island, pairs ancient viticultural heritage with a dynamic modern wine renaissance.
