This Etna DOC captures the distinctive personality of Sicily terroir. At 14.5% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 98%, Nerello Cappuccio 2%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards old vines that are 50-100 years old, rooted in a volcanic rocky soil at 600-650 m above sea level on the slope of Etna faced to North. Vinification: alcoholic and fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperature and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged 18 months in small and big oak barrels, new for the 20%. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
