A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Etna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 13% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Carricante, Catarratto, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate is fresh and precise, with lively acidity carrying through to the finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on the North side of Etna, in Contrada Pietrarizzo. Vinification: fermentation at 15-16 ° in oak barrels of 50 hl. The wine is aged 5 months on yeasts in oak barrels. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
Volcanic soils around Mount Etna impart a distinctive mineral character found across many Sicilian wines.
