A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Etna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 13% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Carricante 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect crisp citrus and orchard fruit aromas framed by a clean, mineral finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards with Guyot method on volcanic sandy soil at 690-720 metres of altitude. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature, partly in steel and partly in wood. The wine is aged a few months in steel tanks, in oak casks and in Nevers and Allier oak tonneaux. A wine reflecting the mineral intensity of Sicily's volcanic soils.
Volcanic soils around Mount Etna impart a distinctive mineral character found across many Sicilian wines.
