Produced in Sicily, this wine reflects a genuine sense of place. Its modest 12% alcohol content favours freshness and drinkability. Crafted from Grillo 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. A steady stream of fine bubbles supports a bright, refreshing palate. The fruit is sourced from vineyards from the Campomaccione estate, in the province of Grosseto, on soils rich in sandstone with a sandy texture at about 130 meters above sea level with north, north-west exposure. Vinification: fermentation in stainless steel and refermentation in autoclave according to Charmat method. The wine is aged a part of the Sangiovese (15%) in small oak barrels for 6 months. A wine reflecting the mineral intensity of Sicily's volcanic soils.
Volcanic soils around Mount Etna impart a distinctive mineral character found across many Sicilian wines.
