A fine example of Emilia Romagna winemaking, this Gutturnio DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 12.5% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Barbera 60%, Croatina (Bonarda) 40%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. A steady stream of fine bubbles supports a bright, refreshing palate. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in clayey sandy soil between 400 and 600 metres above sea level faced to South, South-East and South-West, from Santa Maria Novella and Castellino vintages. Vinification: spontaneous fermentation, maceration for 8 days and second fermentation in bottle with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged at least 10 months in bottle. A wine embodying Emilia Romagna's easy-drinking, food-loving character.
Emilia Romagna producers balance tradition with a lively, approachable modern style.
