A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Marsala DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 18% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Grillo, Cataratto, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The fruit is sourced from vineyards sapling vines grown at 300 meters above sea level on red, dry and sandy soils. Vinification: fermentation at controlled temperature with addition of mistella, cooked must or wine distillate. The wine is aged 24 months in oak wood barrels. A wine capturing Sicily's sun-soaked character and ancient viticultural roots.
Volcanic soils around Mount Etna impart a distinctive mineral character found across many Sicilian wines.
