A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Pantelleria DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its modest 11.5% alcohol content favours freshness and drinkability. Crafted from Zibibbo 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 100-years-old alberello pantesco vines terraced between 20 and 400 metres above sea level in volcani mineral sandy soil in the Pantelleria island. Late harvest in September. Vinification: soft pressing and fermentation in steel vats at controlled temperature. The wine is aged some months on the lees in steel vats. A wine reflecting the mineral intensity of Sicily's volcanic soils.
Sicilian producers blend indigenous grapes with international varieties, reflecting the island's rich cultural mix.
