A fine example of Campania winemaking, this Sannio DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 14% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Aglianico 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in calcareous clayey soil in the Guardiesi hills. Vinification: alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in steel vats. The wine is aged 8 months new and old barriques. A wine showing the volcanic and mineral character typical of Campania's soils.
Campania's viticultural roots stretch back to ancient Roman times, among the oldest in Italy.
