This prestigious Barbaresco DOCG represents the pinnacle of Italian winemaking excellence. With 14.5% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Nebbiolo 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards planted on predominantly calcareous soils with frequent clay intersections, at 240-280 meters elevation. Vinification: fermentation in steel tanks with a first maceration of 20 days with emerged cap with periodic pumping over and a second maceration of 50 days with submerged cap. The wine is aged 12 months in 50-hectoliter oak barrels and 18 months in 25-hectoliter barrels. A wine combining Piedmont's trademark power with finesse and complexity.
Piedmont is renowned worldwide for Barolo and Barbaresco, its two great Nebbiolo-based expressions.
