Barolo 'Prapò' Ettore Germano Italian wine - Barolo DOCG from Piedmont

Tasting Notes

This Barolo DOCG stands as a benchmark for Piedmont's highest quality classification. With 14% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Nebbiolo 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards at 250-450 meters above sea level on the hills of Negrar, composed of silt-clayey soils, partly calcareous, with 15-25 year-old exposure of the vines to the south-east and south-west. Vinification: drying in the loft for 40 days, alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature with maceration for 15 days on the skins. The wine is aged 24 months in oak barrels. A wine combining Piedmont's trademark power with finesse and complexity.
