This Brunello di Montalcino DOCG stands as a benchmark for Tuscany's highest quality classification. Its 15% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Sangiovese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards mass selection of Sangiovese in collaboration with the University of Florence. Nastagio vineyard: at 200-220 m on clay-loam soils with good skeleton, south-west exposure. Vinification: temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks with maceration on the skins for 18-20 days. The wine is aged several months in 5 hl French oak tonneaux and several months in oak barrels. A wine reflecting Tuscany's renowned terroir with elegant tannin structure and aging potential.
