This distinctive wine from Sicily embodies traditional Italian winemaking heritage. Its 13% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Carricante 90% and Grecanico, Malvasia, Inzolia, Minnella 10%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate is fresh and precise, with lively acidity carrying through to the finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards at 650 metres above sea level, in Etna North side on volcanic soils. Vinification: alcoholic spontaneous fermentation with skins maceration for 3 days in steel vats. Unfiltered and unclarified. The wine is aged 4 months in steel vats with bâttonage on the lees and 6 months in bottle. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
Volcanic soils around Mount Etna impart a distinctive mineral character found across many Sicilian wines.
