A fine example of Lazio winemaking, this Olevano Romano DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 14% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Cesanese di Affile 70% e Cesanese del Piglio 30%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards from ancient vines planted in 1981 and 2002 raised to Guyot and Cordone Speronato at 450 meters of altitude on volcanic soils. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in steel for 8 days with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged 12 months in steel and 6 months in bottle. A wine showing the easy-drinking character typical of Lazio's classic whites.
Lazio, home to Rome, has an ancient winemaking history dating back over two thousand years.
