Chardonnay 'Cardellino' Elena Walch

This exceptional Alto Adige/Sudtirol DOC showcases the authentic character of Alto Adige. With 13.5% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Chardonnay 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It presents bright acidity with fresh mineral notes and excellent varietal expression. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in clayey calcareous soils at 400 metres above sea level. Vinification: soft pressing, cold settling of the must and alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperature and in barrique for the 15% of the must. The wine is aged some months on the lees in steek tanks and, for the 15%, in French barriques for 5 months. A wine reflecting the region's cool mountain climate and precise winemaking.
