This Chianti Classico DOCG stands as a benchmark for Tuscany's highest quality classification. Its 13.5% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Sangiovese 95% and other vines 5%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards from vines planted in 1970 on clay-sandy soils with south-east exposure. Vinification: fermentation in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts and maceration on the skins. No filtration and no addition of sulfites. The wine is aged 16 months in barrique. A wine true to the storied winemaking heritage of Tuscany.
From the rolling hills of Chianti to the coastal Maremma, Tuscany's diverse terroir produces wines of exceptional character and aging potential.
