A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Etna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 13% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Carricante 90% and other native grapes 10% (Catarratto, Grecanico and others), this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate is fresh and precise, with lively acidity carrying through to the finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on the northern slopes of the Volcano from 80-year-old sapling vines located at 750 meters above sea level on black and sandy soils. Vinification: maceration on the skins for 4 hours and alcoholic fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature. The wine is aged 6 months in barrique and second and third passage tonneau. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
Sicily, the Mediterranean's largest island, pairs ancient viticultural heritage with a dynamic modern wine renaissance.
