A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Etna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 12.5% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It shows a delicate pale hue with fresh red-berry aromas and a crisp finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on the south-east side of Etna on sandy and volcanic terrains at 450-900 meters a.s.l. Vinification: cold pre-fermentation maceration for 12 hours and fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature. The wine is aged some months in steel tanks. A wine reflecting the mineral intensity of Sicily's volcanic soils.
Volcanic soils around Mount Etna impart a distinctive mineral character found across many Sicilian wines.
