Tasting Notes

A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Etna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its modest 12% alcohol content favours freshness and drinkability. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It shows a delicate pale hue with fresh red-berry aromas and a crisp finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards sapling vines rooted in sandy volcanic sands at 680-750 m above sea level. Vinification: 8 hours of cold pre-fermentation maceration followed by a fermentation in steel with selected indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged 6 months in steel tanks. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
