Tasting Notes

This exceptional Etna DOC showcases the authentic character of Sicily. With 14% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards vines and sapling vines at 600/800 m above sea level in volcanic soils in Verzella, Pietramarina, Feudo di Mezzo and Solicchiata from Castiglione di Sicilia. Vinification: destemming, soft pressing, fermentation with maceration for about 12 days in steel tanks with malolactic fermentation completed. The wine is aged 6 months in big oak barrels. A wine reflecting the mineral intensity of Sicily's volcanic soils.
