Tasting Notes

This exceptional Etna DOC showcases the authentic character of Sicily. With 14.5% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards situated at an altitude of 600-700 metres above sea level, the soils are of volcanic matrix; in this parcel they have a particular texture, consisting of overlapping and alternating layers of lava stone and coarse sand. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in open wooden vats with long maceration on the skins. The wine is aged 18 months in large casks. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
