A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Etna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. At 14.5% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in the Passopisciaro district on the northern slope of Etna at 600-700 meters above sea level on sandy volcanic soils rich in skeleton and iron. Organic cultivation and yield per hectare of 50 quintals. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks with maceration for about 30 days. The wine is aged 12 months in stainless steel tanks. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
Sicily, the Mediterranean's largest island, pairs ancient viticultural heritage with a dynamic modern wine renaissance.
