This Etna DOC captures the distinctive personality of Sicily terroir. Its 14.5% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in the town of Castiglione di Sicilia, on volcanic soil with exposure to North. Vinification: soft pressing, natural decanting of the must and first fermentation in steel and woody tanks with natural yeasts. Aging fro 12 months in steel tanks, tonneaux and barriques before the second fermentation in the bottle according to the Champenois Method. The wine is aged 16-18 months in wood. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
