This Etna DOC captures the distinctive personality of Sicily terroir. At 14% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 80%, Nerello Cappuccio 20%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards from vines of contrada Santo Spirito on the north side of Etna on volcanic sands. Vinification: fermentation in French oak vats with selected indigenous yeasts. Fully malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged 24 months in oak barrels and 12 months in bottle. A wine capturing Sicily's sun-soaked character and ancient viticultural roots.
Volcanic soils around Mount Etna impart a distinctive mineral character found across many Sicilian wines.
