Tasting Notes

This exceptional Etna DOC showcases the authentic character of Sicily. Its 14% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards vines cultivated according to the sapling and guyot system in sandy soil at 800 metres above sea level in Solicchiata, in the Northern slope of Etna. Vinification: maceration on the skins for 18 days, soft pressing, alcoholic fermentation in steel vats and malolactic one in oak barrels. The wine is aged 3 months in French tonneaux. A wine capturing Sicily's sun-soaked character and ancient viticultural roots.
