A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Etna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 13.5% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in the contrada Rovittello, at an altitude of 670 m. above sea level, on sandy soils rich of volcanic ash. Vinification: fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, with maceration on the skins for 8-10 days. The wine is aged 20 months in large oak barrels. A wine reflecting the mineral intensity of Sicily's volcanic soils.
Sicily, the Mediterranean's largest island, pairs ancient viticultural heritage with a dynamic modern wine renaissance.
