Tasting Notes

This exceptional Etna DOC showcases the authentic character of Sicily. At 12% alcohol, it stays light on its feet without sacrificing character. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 70- to 100-year-old vines raised to the Etnean alberello system at 600 meters above sea level, with southeastern exposure. Vinification: spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged a few months in steel and a year in bottle. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
