A fine example of Campania winemaking, this Vesuvio DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 13% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Piedirosso 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in the National Park of Vesuvius in the area of Bosco del Monaco and Tirone della Guardia from about 15-25 years old vines located at 220-350 meters above sea level. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in steel at controlled temperature. The wine is aged 6 months in steel and 3 months in bottle. A wine true to Campania's tradition of structured, age-worthy wines.
Campania is home to celebrated indigenous varieties like Aglianico, Fiano and Greco.
