This Vesuvio DOC captures the distinctive personality of Campania terroir. Its 14% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Piedirosso 85%, Aglianico 15%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in the National Park of Vesuvius in the area of Tirone della Guardia from about 15-25 years old vines located at 220-350 meters above sea level. Vinification: cryomaceration on the skins for 12/14 days and alcoholic fermentation in steel. The wine is aged 24 months in oak tonneau. A wine showing the volcanic and mineral character typical of Campania's soils.
Campania's viticultural roots stretch back to ancient Roman times, among the oldest in Italy.
