A fine example of Abruzzo winemaking, this Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC reflects generations of local expertise. At 13.5% alcohol, it presents a well-balanced and harmonious profile. Crafted from Montepulciano 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards vigna Vico in Contrada Santo Spirito in Passopisciaro, with 120-years-old ungrafted sapling vines at 700 m above sea level. Vinification: fermentation with maceration on the skins in steel tanks for 20 days at controlled temperature. The wine is aged 18 months in steel tanks. A wine reflecting Abruzzo's rugged terrain between mountains and the Adriatic.
Abruzzo's winemaking blends everyday drinkability with growing quality ambition.
