A fine example of Abruzzo winemaking, this Controguerra DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 13% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Passerina 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate is fresh and precise, with lively acidity carrying through to the finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in Controguerra, at 260 metres above sea level on clayey soils. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in steel vats at 16-18°. The wine is aged 2 months in steel vats and few months in bottle. A wine reflecting Abruzzo's rugged terrain between mountains and the Adriatic.
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is the region's signature red, prized for its generous fruit character.
