This Sicilia DOC captures the distinctive personality of Sicily terroir. Its 13% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Perricone 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on deep, fine clay and slightly calcareous soils at 480 meters above sea level. South-East facing. Yield per hectare to 70 quintals. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in steel vats with maceration of 13 days. Malolactic fermentation ending. The wine is aged 12 months in second-hand barriques. A wine capturing Sicily's sun-soaked character and ancient viticultural roots.
Volcanic soils around Mount Etna impart a distinctive mineral character found across many Sicilian wines.
