Pinot Nero 'Ponkler' Magnum Franz Haas

This exceptional Alto Adige/Sudtirol DOC showcases the authentic character of Alto Adige. At 14% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Pinot Noir 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in Ponkler vineyard, at 700 metres above sea level on soils rich in porphyry with south, south-east esposition. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in open steel vats and malolactic in barrique. The wine is aged 12 months in barrique and 24 months in bottle. A wine capturing the crystalline character of Alto Adige's high-altitude vineyards.
