Tasting Notes

A fine example of Marche winemaking, this Rosso Piceno DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 14% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Montepulciano 80%, Sangiovese 20% , this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 20-year-old vines on clay and sandy soil at an altitude of 245 metres. Organic farming with grassed rows and use of green manure. Vinification: destemming, soft pressing, alcoholic fermentation on the skins with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged 7 months on the lees in steel tanks, 12 months in barriques and other 12 in bottle. A wine true to the Marche tradition of elegant, food-friendly wines.
